Using the Docker Image

The Trovares xGT Docker image is maintained at hub.docker.com under the two names trovares/xgt and trovares/nonroot-xgt.

The trovares/xgt image uses root as the id of the process running Trovares xGT. The trovares/nonroot-xgt image creates a system user called xgtd and runs the Trovares xGT application using that user id.

Both images are identical in every other respect.

All examples in this document will show using the nonroot-xgt Docker image.
